I am a kind of person who believes that how you start your day  almost decides how the entire day would turn out to be. A good start generally means it will be a good day and a bad start most of the times ends up in a bad day. Most of the time if not always. Don't you feels the same?

So I try to always wake a to a good morning. Colgate recently turned my good morning into a gold morning by sending in a lovely surprise one fine day#Colgate360GoldMornings.

So I thought why not share a few mantras to turn your mornings into a good morning.

• Begin your day with a smile. The first time you look into the mirror, look at a smiling reflection of self. Sounds nothing, but trust me it really gives your day a positive start.
• Brush your teeth well. Sounds silly right? But nothing freshens you up better than fresh mouth and a lovely smile.
• Start your day with some workout or yoga or meditation. A happy soul resides in a healthy body.
• Go for a run in the park. Start your day with some fresh air amidst nature.
• Think positive.
• Start a little ahead of time. Rather than beginning your day in a rush, start at your own pace.
• Say good morning. Yes! these two words will actually make yours and someone else's morning good too.

Cocktails With Indian Twist

Its FriYAY finally. I am sure each one of you is really tired after a hectic week. And that surely calls for some party while sipping your favourite cocktail. Not sure where to go? For those willing to experiment a bit with the flavours, this post has some bonus recipes. The good old margaritas and mojitos, with some desi twist. So let’s begin. But before that please make sure you drink responsible and live responsibly.

1. Khus Mojito: Mojito is my personal favourite. Nothing is more refreshing than a glass of mojito after a long tiring week. And trust me this also one of the easiest one too. All you need is some white rum, lemon wedges, mint leaves, sugar syrup and soda. In addition to these classic ingredients, you will also need son Khus syrup. Muddle some lemon wedges with mint leaves. Add crushed ice along with rum and sugar syrup. Add some more crushed ice followed by soda. Quickly add some khus syrup and garnish with a sprig of mint leave and serve. Your cool khus mojito is ready!
2. Chaat Margarita: Margarita is synonymous with the salt rim. Margarita a classic favourite also requires very few ingredients –tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice, sugar syrup and some chaat masala to add Indian flavour! Rim the glass with salt and chat masala. Fill it with lots of ice cubes. In a shaker, add all the ingredients and shake well. Pour in the glass over ice cubes and enjoy. The good old margarita with a kick of chaat masala.  
3. Anaar Cosmo: Almost every girl’s favourite, cosmopolitan is usually made with 3 ingredients - cranberry juice, vodka and lemon wedges. Give it some desi twist with added pomegranate flavour. In a shaker add crushed ice, cranberry juice, squeezed lemon juice along with the wedges and pomegranate juice. Shake well and strain in martini glass. Top with some pomegranate on top and serve.

Real Togetherness

Hello Everyone!

It is often said that technology brings people close. It is making the world smaller day by day. One can now easily send messages, hear and see anyone living thousands of miles away at any given time. Connecting with someone living in the other part of the world is just a matter of dialling few numbers on your cell phone, tablet or laptop. Technology truly has replaced thousands of miles of distance. No doubt in that. But has it really brought us together?

For some people the answer may be yes. However, for most of us it is a big No. Don’t agree? Well just try to answer some of the questions below –

• When was the last time you actually met your friends and had a heart to heart conversation? The chats don’t count. Meeting in person.
• When was the last time you said hi to someone from your building when you met them in the elevator?
• When was the last time you had a good conversation with your family at the dinner table?
• When was the last time you sat down with your siblings, cousins and friends to play board games?
• When was the last time you were up all night talking to your bestie about random things?

Has it been more than a week, moth or even a year since you did these things? Do you still think technology has brought us closer? Our cell phones have become our lives.  Our virtual world has taken over our real world. We hardly meet people. We may have 1000+ friends on social networking sites. But hardly any in real life. We don’t talk.  Don’t really meet people. Many people don’t even know their immediate neighbours. Yes the people who live just a few steps from your house. Technology is killing our real life. So it is high time we take the control back in our hand. Start living our life in not the virtual but real world.

Put the phones and laptops down.  Meet the people in person. Talk to them. Laugh and cry with them. Hold hands. Have meaningful conversations.  Get back to living our life the way we used to. The way it is meant to be.

Next time you miss friends go visit them. Next time you meet some in the elevator, start a conversation. Talk to your family while having dinner. Bring together the people you love. Be with them. Take a break from your phones. Instead of capturing the precious moments of life live them.

#FrizzFreeHair | Vatika Women's Indiblogger Meet

Hey Everyone!!!

Dabur Vatika is one of the oldest and well known hair oil brands in India. They recently organised a Women's Blogger Meet in association with IndiBlogger for the launch of their new product in Mumbai on 10th October, 2015. Apart from the blogger, the event was also attended by the Management students of NMIMS.

After the registrations, the event began with a rocking performance by the IndiBlogger Band.

This was followed by introduction to Dabur Vatika, its various products and finally the new Dabur Vatika Jasmine Frizz Control Oil was unveiled.

The launch was followed by discussions on hair care and a fun filled game of ROCK PAPER SCISSOR but with a tweak. Whoever won got to mess the other persons hair. And yes we didnt have to worry about going home with the messy hair as they had arranged for Champi stations to pamper our tresses.
